A 9-point swing
Over the weekend, a new poll from The New York Times/Siena – one of, if not the most respected pollsters in the nation – showed us leading by 7 points. This is an incredible testament to the strength of our campaign.
In June, this very same pollster showed us trailing Dan Sullivan by 2 points. And now, despite tens of millions of dollars in attack ads, lies and smears, we’ve only gained support. No amount of money – and believe me, there’s a lot of it – can outweigh the power of tens of thousands of Alaskans coming together to take back our state.
We are building a movement powered by working people, for working people. I’m not counting on the support of billionaires or greedy corporations because that’s not who I’m running to serve.
I know what it’s like to live hand to mouth and not know how you’re going to make ends meet at the end of the month, just like so many Alaskans. On the other hand, my opponent has a net worth up to $12 million, including as much as $5 million of stock in his brother’s multi-national chemical company which has benefited from the very votes Dan has taken that are hurting Alaskans. While he’s supposed to fight for us as our United States Senator, he’s instead managed to triple his personal wealth and sell us out in the process.
And in less than 30 days, Alaskans are going to fire him for it.
This poll makes it clear that Alaskans are ready for a change. We’re ready to elect a senator who knows what it’s like to struggle, and who’s going to fight to lower costs and make life better for working people – not just the millionaires and billionaires.
Time and time again, we’ve put the DC establishment on notice. They know they’re losing. That’s why Dan Sullivan is introducing last-minute Hail Mary legislation in an attempt to cover for years of ineffectiveness, and Alaskans see right through it.
There are just 29 days left until Election Day, which means everything we do now matters more than ever. So please, if you can, rush a donation to make this NYT/Siena poll a reality. Anything you can donate – whether it’s $100 or $1 – will go a long way in flipping Alaska’s toss-up Senate seat.
