Dan Sullivan ❤️ Data Centers
Have you seen our latest ad? Dan Sullivan is begging AI companies to build data centers in Alaska... and enriching himself in the process.
He’s championing data centers now that his family company stands to profit off of them – increasing the value of the multimillion-dollar stock that he personally owns. It’s a classic example of the rigged system that Alaskans are ready to reject on November 3.
I don’t trade stocks. I’m in this for Alaskans, not my wallet. And while this *should* be the standard, instead Alaskans have been stuck with 12 years of a self-dealing incumbent who uses his elected office to triple his own personal wealth.
While Dan is enriching himself and looking out for his own interests, he’s actively ignoring the perspective of everyday Alaskans. Take a look at some recent community comments about the proposed data centers:
“The only people this truly benefits are the billionaires who own them.”
“This is a short-sighted money grab.”
“Serve the people that live here, not big outside money.”
That is what Alaskans – the people Dan Sullivan claims to serve – think about the data centers that he’s begging to build in Alaska. They deserve to know the truth about their senator.
I’m deeply humbled by the number of people who have stepped up to help fund this grassroots campaign. But that’s also why it’s important to me to be transparent about the fact that, right now, we don’t have the resources to get this ad about data centers in front of every Alaskan that needs to see it.
At this stage in the campaign, we’re running incredibly tight margins. But when Dan Sullivan proudly bowed down at the feet of Big Tech – which would raise our utility costs and drain our resources – we knew we needed to tell Alaskans.
This ad wasn’t in our original media plan, but it’s important to amplify the message that the billionaires and corporations don’t decide our future – we do. So if you can, please make a contribution of any size to help us run this ad on TV screens all across the state.
Dan Sullivan is ignoring the will of Alaskans to enrich himself, and Alaskans deserve to know.
