Alaska First, Alaska Always
Over the past several months, I’ve had the privilege of traveling to more than 50 communities across our state to speak with Alaskans about the issues we’re facing – and, more importantly, how we can solve them.
Never before has it been more important for Alaskans to vote for change. This election cycle has been ugly. It’s been marked by a constant barrage of awful attack ads, smear campaigns, and dark money pouring in from the ultra-wealthy trying to tell Alaskans how they should feel and how to vote. But Alaskans know what’s real and what isn’t. We can no longer stand by while policies written by Lower 48 interests leave us with sky-high prices for gas, fuel to heat our homes, healthcare, and groceries.
We are facing a winter that will strain families. Some will have to choose between heating their homes or putting food on the table as the cost of living continues to rise out of reach.
This is the most consequential election of our lifetime. We have a choice between a path that leads to more of the same: rising costs, rivers empty of salmon, and forever wars that make building a life in the place we love so dearly almost unachievable for future generations. Or we can choose a path that allows us to take back what is ours. It’s one in which we tell Washington DC that we will no longer be a pawn in their political party games.
We will no longer allow the needs of Alaskans to take a back seat to Lower 48 interests that don’t help us here at home. And we won’t let outsiders hijack our elections and drown out our voices.
For twelve years, we have been treated like we serve Dan Sullivan, when Dan Sullivan should be serving us. Instead of helping us here at home, he has used his position to line his own pockets and blindly follow the party line to enrich himself while he drains our bank accounts.
I will fight for a future that is written by us and for us. We need to bring back abundance. We need to bring down costs. We need to ensure that every Alaskan has the opportunity for a good-paying job. We need affordable healthcare. We need quality education for our young ones. And we need to protect Social Security. This is what I will relentlessly work for as your U.S. Senator.
This is a moral moment and one that will define the future for our children. Do we continue down a path that doesn’t serve us? A path that allows Dan Sullivan to feed corruption and corporate greed while Alaskans struggle to feed their families?
Right now, the DC Republican establishment is trying to buy that future. They’re pouring tens of millions of dollars into Alaska, drowning us out on the airwaves in a way that Alaskans have never seen before. So even though I wish elections weren’t this expensive, I’m counting on thousands of people like you all across the country to step up.
If you can, will you make a contribution to my campaign today? Whether it’s $1 or $1,000, anything you can give will make an enormous difference.
Alaskans are ready to vote like our lives depend on it, because they do.
Let’s put Alaska first.
